Nobody gets left behind
In the UK
MUSE CIO is a charity based in Salisbury. It was established to promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society.
We work with other grassroots organisations in the community to deliver regular activities that promote social inclusion, wellbeing and the relief of need. We work with local and national government to ensure that our work is both joined up and accessible.
From 2020 we have witnessed tumultuous events throughout the world, including the COVID pandemic and the conflicts and upheaval in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Syria, the Middle East and Africa, which have had a huge and irreversible impact on society and the economy at both local and national levels. Playing an active role in the community, the MUSE team of therapists, musicians, teachers, software developers and volunteers is supporting families and assisting their integration into new communities in the UK.

Jane Ebel – started her career in Russia in 1986, when she moved to Moscow to sell mini computers. She soon side-stepped into the voluntary sector and worked on a variety of health and social care projects in Moscow, the Urals and in neighbouring countries, including Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Armenia and the Baltic States. For the last 15 years, Jane has worked in Moldova, in the field of disability, early years inclusive education and communication through music. In 2017 she organised the first Marathon4All with Moldovan colleagues and was awarded an MBE for her work on disability in Moldova.
Since 2020, Jane has worked in the community in Salisbury developing services for dementia as well as people isolated by the effects of the Covid pandemic.
The global conflicts and the resettlement in Wiltshire of many Ukrainian, Afghan and Syrian families, has seen Jane and the team working to support people fleeing these conflicts and helping them to settle in the UK.
Jane is a Trustee of The BEARR Trust.
